Vision Priorities
Since the onset of the Vision 2020 Major Gifts Campaign, your contributions has enabled Southern to initiate programs in Cosmetology/Salon Management, Dental Hygiene, EMT-Mining, Medical Assistant, Respiratory Care Technology, Survey Technology, and support for the Academy for Mine Training and Energy Technologies. Investments from the campaign will continue to support these efforts. As our campaign grows, the College will pursue additional programs to meet the demand.
Academic and Entrepreneurial Programs
There is a tremendous need in the College’s service district to diversify and expand the economy. This requries Southern to respond to this need with new credit and non-credit based programs to meet the demand for a well-trained workforce for existing business and to attract new employers to our area.
Southern will utilize high technology delivery systems that could not only provide the most state-of-the-art instruction, but also provide Southern the opportunity to deliver education beyond its boundaries in West Virginia
