WVCTCS Visits Southern for its August Meeting
The West Virginia Council for Community & Technical College Education visited the Logan Campus of Southern WV Community & Technical College for its final meeting before the start of the fall semester.
Meetings and discussions were held in Building C of the Logan campus on Thursday, August 18th.
Between business items, members and guests spoke with Southern’s faculty and toured the simulation labs for their paramedic, surgical technology, nursing, radiology, and cosmetology programs. The Council’s visit came as Southern’s newest students were on campus for orientation.
“We are grateful to Southern and Dr. Alderman for hosting the Council and its guests during such an important time – new student orientation,” said Dr. Sarah Armstrong Tucker, West Virginia’s Chancellor of Higher Education.
“It was exciting to see so many students on campus and to hear about the innovative things Southern is doing to help students achieve their academic and career dreams close to home,” Tucker said.
