Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College Hosting Virtual Commencement for Graduates

Mount Gay, W.Va.  –  Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College is hosting a virtual commencement for its graduates. The commencement will air on Saturday, June 20 beginning at 12:00 p.m. The video will be viewable on Southern’s website, southernwv.edu, and its Facebook page, facebook.com/southernwv.edu.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has changed so much in our world, but our graduates have worked hard for this honor, and we wanted to celebrate them and their accomplishments,” Dr. Pamela L. Alderman, Southern’s President, said. “This has been a collaborative effort, and we’re proud of the finished product. We hope our graduates and their families love it.”

The commencement will feature congratulatory messages from keynote speaker, Sarah Armstrong Tucker, Chancellor for West Virginia Community and Technical College Education, as well as West Virginia Governor Jim Justice, and Senators Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito.
