Air Evac Life Team Partners with Allied Health Programs for Critical Care Skills Day

The Air Evac Life Team partnered with the Allied Health Programs to host a dynamic and highly informative Critical Care Skills Day, offering an immersive, hands-on experience for traditional second-year nursing students, accelerated second-year nursing students, and paramedic science students.

The event provided a deep dive into key clinical competencies essential for future healthcare professionals. Topics covered included interpretation of laboratory values, pharmacology, advanced airway management, mass casualty triage, and the management of a mega code—critical skills for those pursuing careers in emergency and critical care settings.

A highlight of the day was the active involvement of David Riley, an accelerated nursing student and flight paramedic with Air Evac, who played a pivotal role in facilitating training activities. His dual perspective as both a student and practicing professional brought unique insight and value to the event.
