Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College’s Surgical Technology Program Boasts 100 Percent Passage Rate

Mount Gay, W.Va. – Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College is proud to announce that our Surgical Technology Class of 2020 achieved a 100 percent passage rate on their National Certification Exam! This marks the first time since 2013 that our Surgical Technology Program has had a perfect passage rate, and only the second time since the program began in 1999.

Misha Herndon, Surgical Technology Program Coordinator, expressed her pride. “This has been one of our best classes, and Meloney McRoberts and I are incredibly proud of them and this accomplishment! It has been a joy watching them learn and grow in their confidence and skills.”
