Southern to Sponsor Community Trunk or Treat
After investing all that time and effort into getting Halloween costumes for the kids, everyone is looking for an extra opportunity to get all dressed up and collect some extra goodies.
That’s exactly the thought behind Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College’s Community Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 28th from 6pm til 7:30pm. The event will be held on the parking lot of the Logan and the Williamson campuses.
Our employees, departments, and organizations will be joined by other businesses and organizations in the community to offer a one-stop trick or treating bonanza. Southern is encouraging all the groups participating “to go all out” by offering prizes to the best-decorated vehicles.
In addition to all the vehicles, Southern will have an information station set up passing out new Halloween merchandise, T-shirts, and more.
“This is a perfect opportunity for our college to reach out to our local community and do something fun,” Director of Communications Bill France said. “The kids really missed out on this holiday last year and we want to help make up for that.”
The trunk of treat is the culminating activity for Southern’s Halloween Spooktacular. The local college is holding door decorating contests, games, contests, and costume contests for students and employees earlier in the day.
