Six students and two chaperones will make the trip. Funding for the remaining students and chaperones will come from an SAPT grant.
Conference fees are $599, plus hotel, ground transportation, and travel. It is estimated that the cost per student will be $1,559, not including food, ground transportation, or spending money.,
“Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, along with the Southern West Virginia Community College Foundation, proudly supports this vital cause for the students at Scott High School,” Southern President Dr. Pamela L. Alderman said.
“These funds will allow students to participate in the National Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America Leadership Forum. This unique opportunity highlights our commitment to nurturing leadership and promoting healthier communities,” Alderman stated.
“The students will acquire invaluable knowledge and skills, empowering them to impact their own lives and the lives of others. I am proud to stand with them as they work toward a brighter, drug-free future,” Alderman said.
