2020 HLC Focused Visit Final Report
On March 2-3, 2020, a team of three Higher Learning Commission Peer Reviewers visited Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College to conduct a focused visit on shared governance, faculty credentials, assessment of student learning, student success, and organizational culture. On April 6, 2020, the institution received the Peer Review Team’s draft report to provide corrections of errors of fact only. Corrections were submitted to the Team Chair on April 15, 2020. Following is the Focused Visit Team’s Report of their visit to Southern. This report has been submitted to the Higher Learning Commission for review and final action by the Institutional Actions Council (IAC). Upcoming meetings of the IAC are scheduled for May 4-5; June 15-16; and July 27-28, 2020.
