Foundation

The mission of the Southern West Virginia Community College Foundation, Inc. is to collect and disburse funds to be used as scholarships, loans, grants, and funds for worthwhile projects. Organized in 1971, the tax-exempt organization is a combined effort of civic and business leaders throughout Southern’s service area.

The Southern Foundation is comprised of twenty members, six of whom serve on the Executive Board. Members of the Board include representatives from each geographical area, and each county has one member who is assigned fundraising responsibility.
