Scholarship Awards
$1,000.00 for tuition or textbooks per year.
Criteria
Must be a graduating senior from Mingo, Logan, Boone, McDowell, Wayne or Wyoming County.
Attach to the application an essay of at least 100 words stating why you believe the coal industry is important to West Virginia.
A high school transcript of grades must be included with application.
Amount
$1,000.00 for tuition or textbooks per year.
Scholarship History
The ten annual CEDAR scholarships support education, the development and the use of the largest natural resource in West Virginia - coal.
The CEDAR Scholarships are funded by the West Virginia Development Office, CEDAR of Southern West Virginia, Inc., and the Southern West Virginia Community College Foundation, Inc.
