Letter from our Executive Director

Dear Southern Friends and Family,

Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College has been proudly serving students for nearly 50 years! We take pride in the fact that we have helped generations of students realize their educational goals. Our mission has always been to provide students with quality education close to home, and that mission is as strong now, nearly half a century later, as it was when our College began.

You have a chance to help us with our mission, and to change the lives of our students for the better. The Southern West Virginia Community College Foundation helps numerous Southern students each semester, and we rely on the kindness and generosity of friends like you to make that possible.

This year, we will be participating in Giving Tuesday on December 1, 2020, and we hope we can count on your donation. No gift is too small. Your kindness will help Southern students with the following:

  •  Need-based scholarships
  • Textbooks for classes
  • Uniforms/scrubs for required clinical
  • Career services to help prepare students for their professional careers

The importance of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College cannot and should not be overlooked. Our students’ success is dependent on collaborative friendships like ours. With your help, we will be able to help so many deserving people. We look forward to working with you in the future to keep ensuring that the dream of a quality education close to home will always be available at Southern!

We appreciate any gift you can give our deserving Southern students. Thank you for thinking of SWVCTC this giving season.

Sincerely,

Rita Roberson,

Executive Director for Institutional Advancement and Marketing
