2 Semester Hours Prerequisite: Restricted to LPN’s admitted to the nursing program or by special permission of the Nursing Coordinator or Dean of Allied Health. The Nursing Transitions course is a course that is designed to bridge the transition of the student with a background in an allied health field (example: LPN) to the nursing program. Emphasis will be placed on developing the bio-psychosocial assessment and communication skills, nursing process/concept mapping, and medication dosage calculation.
