2010 Harmony 365 Award Recipient
Burch High School principal Jada Hunter, was the 2010 recipient of the Harmony 365 Award, entitled "Believe, Achieve and Succeed". The presentation was made by President Joanne Jaeger Tomblin during a Board of Governors meeting held at the Logan campus of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. Hunter received this award due to her outstanding devotion to the students of Mingo County and her selfless service to the education community. She is an active participant of the Harmony 365 steering committee and a longtime member of Southern's Board of Governors. Harmony 365 is a partnership between the College, the Southern Foundation, the Williamson Branch and the Logan Chapter of the NAACP and the West Virginia Humanities Council. Local business partners include Pepsi, LB&T, the West Virginia Humanities Council and HEPC.
