Conditional Admission

Non-high school graduates 18 years of age and older may be admitted as conditional students if Southern officials determine they are capable of successfully completing college-level work. These students may take up to 12 credit hours per semester and progress will be evaluated at the end of each semester. Conditional students must complete all needed developmental courses and pass the GED before becoming regular, degree-bound students.

Conditional students are not eligible to receive financial aid and admission as a regular or conditional student does not ensure acceptance into specific programs.
