• General information for the Southern Harvest Half Marathon & 5K

o The race takes place at the Williamson campus at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College on Saturday, November 18. You have the choice to choose either Kentucky or West Virginia when running our race because you will run several times back and forth between the two states.

o The race is in collaboration with the school to help raise money for it's Scholarship Foundation.

o When: Saturday, November 18

o Type of race: Half Marathon and 5K

o Location: 1601 Co Hwy 52/27, Williamson, WV 25661

o Time: Half marathon starts at 9am and 5K starts at 9:30am

o Packet Pickup: Friday, November 17 at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College from 4pm til 8pm

o Race day Packet Pickup: Saturday, November 18 at SWVCTC from 6:30am til 8:45am

- NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION

o Runners will receive a goodie bag, your bib, shirt and additional information.

- Finisher's medals for both half marathon and 5K

- Age awards...3 deep for both races

- Overall top awards for male and female for the half marathon

o Vendors will be there on Packet pickup

o Showers will be available at the College and food will be offered after the race

• Course description: Half Marathon

o The race begins from the college at 9am, runs down Armory Road towards Williamson PK-8 School, run along the Tug Fork River on the backside of the Flood Wall, cut back on Armory Road and make a right turn pass "the Tunnel Drive-Inn," up the Water tower hill, make a left on US 119 Northbound towards Charleston, WV for 7.45 miles, Cross the highway onto the US 119 Southbound lane, follow the course to Fairview Addition and make a left and follow it all the way down back to the college for the finish.

o The course will be well-marked with mile markers posted and cones to separate from traffic and also have local authorities and race officials at the turnaround point at 7.45 miles.

• Course description: 5K

o The race begins at 9:30am, runs down Armory Road towards Williamson PK-8 School, run along the Tug Fork River on the backside of the Flood Wall, on Armory Road, towards Fairview...where you will see a turnaround mark and head back to the college for the finish.
