INSTRUCTOR/COORDINATOR OF MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY
Full-time 10-month Term Faculty with benefits
Campus: Logan Campus Responsibilities: Responsible for the organization, administration, instruction, evaluation, continuous quality improvement, curriculum planning and development, directing other program faculty/staff, and general effectiveness of the Medical Laboratory Technology Program. Participate in the budget preparation process, have regular and consistent contact with students, faculty, and program personnel, and engage in a minimum of 36 hours of documented continuing professional development every three years. Responsible for maintaining NAACLS accreditation of the program. All faculty positions are full-time “term” faculty appointments with excellent fringe benefits. The successful applicant will: Utilize Various technologies in the classroom and for distance delivery of instruction; Have all other duties of a full-time instructor such as committee assignments and advising students; Have ability to work effectively with supervisors, colleagues, staff and students as part of an education team; and, Write and update curricula including course outlines and syllabi as required by the institution or industry trends. Requirements: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university required and must hold generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC). Must have three years teaching experience. Must have knowledge of education methods and administration as well as current NAACLS accreditation procedures and certification procedures. Must have strong verbal and writing skills and computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Application review begins Thursday, May 4, 2017.
