APPLICATION SYSTEMS ANALYST PROGRAMMER - LEAD

Pay Grade 21          $43,171 per year          Full-Time with benefits      
Campus:   Logan Campus   Responsibilities:  Responsible for coordination of information technology activities in support of database functions, maintenance of local area networks, servers, computers and information technology related deliverables.  Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.  Install/rebuild servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage.  Perform regular security monitoring.   Troubleshoot and document all hardware and software accordingly.  Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.  Perform daily backup operation.  Support and manage operating systems.  Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.  Troubleshoot and document applications and monitor usage to provide for stability and growth.  Support and manage application and database and inventory.  Assign and maintain user access.   Troubleshoot and document all software applications.  Write reports collecting information from database resources.  Act as liaison between Information Technology and vendors.  Write and design scripts for Windows automation tasks.  Write detailed server/network documentation.  Write and configure custom monitoring with SQL.   Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and four to six years directly related work experience in management of information systems, server administration, application and database support, firewalls, and scripting and automation.  Microsoft and Oracle certifications preferred.  Must have experience with VMware Server and Desktop Virtualization, thorough knowledge and understanding of information technology principles, practices, and methods as defined in ITIL, expertise with SQL and database tools, expertise in managing Windows desktops and servers, and experience with administration tasks, such as installation, configuration, management, security, patching and updating.  Must have advanced knowledge of Windows 2012 R2 and Linux Operating Systems, Exchange and Active Directory management ability, and working knowledge of network scripting and automation.  Must demonstrate ability to carry out assignments requiring organization of material, analysis of pertinent issues, and preparation of pertinent recommendations; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; ability to work independently and simultaneously on projects of varied complexity with high level of output; and ability to express ideas effectively in written and oral format and create clear technical documentation/user guides for business practices.  Application review begins Thursday, April 27, 2017.
